"The Russian State and India: Imperial Encounters to Contemporary Collaborations" Exhibition, Gorky Sadan, Kolkata, December 2018

The exhibition was held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Gorky Sadan, Kolkata, on December 7, 2018 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India. The programme was organized by the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata in collaboration with the Institute of Foreign Policy Studies, Calcutta University. Apart from the photo exhibition, a documentary on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India was screened on the inaugural day. The document A Friendship Beyond Diplomacy  was conceptualized and curated by Professor Vasudevan, directed by Mr. Mrinmoy Nandi and his team, Kaahon, and presented and produced by the Embassy of India in Moscow, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Prior to the Kolkata screening, the documentary was premiered at the India International Centre, New Delhi, during The IIC Experience: A Festival of the Arts 2017.
